Sultan Rahi / (Urdu/Punjabi) سلطان راہی was a Pakistani Punjabi actor with an appearance in 813 films in his career . He is the onlyPakistani actor to be in the Guinness Book of World Records. He worked in over 703 plus Punjabi films and 100 Urdu films. He won 160 Film Awards. Some of his major films include Maula Jatt, Sher Khan, Chan Veryam, Kaley Chore, andThe Godfather, Basheeraa and Wehsi Gujjar. He has appeared in the highest grossing films of Pakistan and has established himself as one of the leading and most successful actors of Pakistani and Punjabi cinema. he also worked as senior acting officer in tabi production.

Rahi was born to a Muslim arain family who were settled in Muzaffar Nagar, District Bijnore, Utter Pradesh India, and after partition and moved to Gujranwala,Punjab. Before joining films he acted in the stage drama named Nadir Shah Durrani in 1955.
Rahi was an extra in the 1959 film Baghi. Although he struggled for a few years in the early 1960s, playing only a few supporting roles. The turning point came in 1972, when three of his films celebrated diamond jubilees. In 1975 he became an action icon for the lovers of Punjabi films. In 1979 Maula Jatt became his most successful Pakistani film to date. Rahi worked most often with directors Masood Rana and Younas Malik.
On 9 January 1996 he was shot dead on the main highway in Pakistan known as GT Road, near Gujranwala, Punjab. There was no real progress to his murder investigation.
Rahi has a son, Haider Sultan, who is an actor.
